Our Commitment

No matter how many thousands of students we have throughout the world, we are never too big to deal directly with our students. We do business the old-fashioned way; we provide personal service, something that our large corporate competitors can't or don't want to do.

A Message from Phil Yaeger

PhilI passed the CPA exam in 1973 after taking a CPA Review course. I knew one thing after that ... there had to be a better way.

A few years later I found that way, and started Yaeger CPA Review.

We started out in 1977 as a traditional live, in-person classroom course. From that first class, with only 13 students, we grew to become the largest CPA Review course in the Washington D.C. metropolitan area.

When the exam format changed, so did our delivery method. Instead of teaching in a classroom, our instructors go into a studio and teach, exactly the same way they did in the classroom, except now it is captured and streamed directly to you. We have a team of real teachers and subject matter experts, who teach you using a traditional classroom style - without an overemphasis on mnemonics and PowerPoint slides.

Some CPA review courses put their efforts and resources into slick marketing and advertising campaigns. I've chosen to put our efforts into improving the quality of our course material. I've relied on word-of-mouth referrals from our successful students for our marketing

On a more personal note, I am a teacher in the truest sense of the word. I believe in teaching concepts, not blind memorization. My job isn't done until the concepts tested on the CPA Exam are understood, and the application for answering questions is successful. Everyone who teaches for me shares this same philosophy.

Finally, I like people. I enjoy talking with the many students who call me. Studying for the CPA Exam isn't easy, but it can be fun. I try to make my subjects informative, challenging, and fun. When teaching stops being fun for me, I'll stop doing it.
