Education Requirements
Credit Requirements: 150 semester units (225 quarter units) needed for certification, but not needed to sit for the exam
Minimum Degree: Baccalaureate degree
Additional Requirements: 30 semester hours or equivalent quarter hours in accounting above elementary level
Residency Requirements
Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship not required
Minimum Age: 18
Additional Requirements: It is not necessary to be a resident, employee, or keep office(s) in the state
License Requirements
Social Security Requirement: Yes
Education Requirement: 150 hours including Bachelor's Degree
Participates in International Exam Program: Yes
Experience Requirement: 1 year of public accounting experience and/or 1 year of academia which shall consist of 24 semester hours taught in a period not less than 12 months and not more than 36 months
